I don't know about you but I don't read much poetry. It's hard to know where to begin. And the poems that do stick are never the ones you went looking for. Poems should find you, they should seek you out and follow you around. That's why I built this site.

Thousands of poems to discover

England in 1819

Percy Bysshe Shelley

An old, mad, blind, despised, and dying king,Princes, the dregs of their dull race, who flowThrough public scorn, mud from a muddy spring,Rulers who neither see, nor feel, nor know,But leech-like to their fainting country cling,Till they drop, blind in blood, without a blow,A people starved and stabbed in the untilled field,An army, whom liberticide and preyMakes as a two-edged sword to all who wield,Golden and sanguine laws which tempt and slay;Religion Christless, Godless — a book sealed;A senate, Time's worst statute unrepealed,Are graves from which a glorious Phantom mayBurst, to illumine our tempestuous day.

Romanticise the everyday

WellVersed shows you one poem at a time, and you can skip it or read it fully. Over time the system learns what you like. That's it. A 3 min poem could be what takes your everyday to feeling a little less everyday.

If you'd like a bit more poetry in your life, we'd be glad to have you.
